Threads provides respite and enrichment opportunities designed for adults with disabilities. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where participants can build independence, strengthen social connections, and engage in meaningful activities within their community.
At Threads, we believe that everyone deserves opportunities to learn, grow, and have fun. Our programming focuses on life skills, social development, and community engagement while giving families trusted support and peace of mind.
Respite Care
Threads offers structured respite services that provide caregivers with a break while ensuring participants are supported in a safe, engaging environment. Our programs are designed to balance supervision with opportunities for independence, helping individuals build confidence in everyday situations.
Social & Community Activities
Participants will take part in group outings and activities that encourage friendship, teamwork, and community involvement. These may include visiting local parks, restaurants, recreation centers, libraries, and community events.
Life Skills Development
Our programming incorporates opportunities to practice real-life skills in natural settings. Depending on the activity, participants may work on skills such as:
Making purchases
Ordering food at restaurants
Planning simple activities
Following schedules and routines
Practicing communication and social skills
Small Group Programming
Threads focuses on small group experiences so that every participant receives individualized attention and support. Small groups also help create a comfortable environment where friendships can grow naturally.
Family Partnership
We believe the best outcomes happen when families and providers work together. Threads values open communication with families to ensure that each participant’s needs, interests, and goals are supported.
Pricing and Policies

Threads respite services are provided at a rate of $25 per hour. This rate covers the supervision, support, and programming provided by Threads staff in a safe and engaging environment.

While the hourly rate covers staffing and supervision, some activities or community outings may involve additional costs, such as meals, admission fees, transportation costs, or activity supplies. Families will always be notified ahead of time if an activity requires extra spending money.

We combine a thoughtful, human-centered approach with clear communication and reliable results. It’s not just what we do—it’s how we do it that sets us apart. Payments for services will be collected through Venmo, Zelle, or cash. Payment is expected at the time of service.

If your participant is unable to attend a scheduled session, we kindly ask that families provide at least 24 hours notice. Late cancellations may still be subject to the hourly charge, as staffing and planning have already been arranged.
